This universal board is for mounting any 78xx series 3-terminal voltage regulator of your choice to make a regulated fixed DC voltage 1A maximum power supply.

The 78xx series regulators are available in fixed DC output voltages from 5 - 24V DC,  provide up to 1A load current and feature on-chip protection circuitry that simple shuts the chip down in the event of over heating or excessive current.

The input voltage can be unregulated AC (NOT mains voltage) or DC input that need to be at least 2-3V above the required output voltage for proper operation.

The kit comprises a heatsink, bridge rectifier Diodes, smoothing capacitors, LED power indicator, and PCB mounted input/output terminal blocks
